Red Mountain Tavern

November 11th-13th, 2022
Shire of Isenfir

Feast is sold out!

Registration is still open for event and camping

Red Mountain Tavern (formerly Mead Hall) emphasizes the aspects of warmth, coziness, and unhurried socializing that we enjoy so much. We welcome everyone to a relaxing day at the English tavern where there are fabulous nature trails and a rustic hall. During the day there shall be assorted classes, games of chance, dancing in the afternoon, and lots of time to catch up with old friends as well as make new friends. A delicious feast shall be served in the evening by candle light. Following feast we shall keep the mead hall fire and candle light lit to enjoy poetry, singing, and music by the fire. All guests are welcome and encouraged to perform!

NONE! The day is about friends, food, fun, and games! There will be field games such as lawn bowling, Quoits (ring toss), and bean bag toss.

Arts & Sciences Activities:

Activities at Red Mountain Tavern are relaxed and informal, and classes are no exception. Classes may be held based upon teacher's volunteering to share their knowledge. We will update this page as we learn more!
The games of chance from the Red Mountain Inn shall make an appearance to entertain one and all!

After lunch and until feast we shall enjoy an afternoon of lively and boisterous dancing (far away from the calm classes in the hall)! The dance master will see to your fun and entertainment, and many dances will be called.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the pet policy?
Dogs are allowed assuming they are not unusually large or aggressive breeds. Owners are expected to clean up after them. They are welcome in the cabins but keep in mind they are communal bunk rooms. They are not allowed in the main hall due to staff allergies. Outside they are expected to be on leash. We do reserve the right to ask that they be removed if there are issues.

Q: What are the cabins like?
A: There are four cabins that have 20 twin beds. They are bunk beds (10 top, 10 bottom). They are arranged in pods of 8 on one side, 4 in the middle, 8 on the other side. The cabins are first come, first serve. Typically the cabins do not fill up more than 50% so there should be plenty of room. The bunk beds are beds with mattresses only. You will need to bring your own sheets & blankets. The cabins are not heated and there is only one main electrical outlet. We encourage you to bring cool weather sleeping gear as it can get quite cold.

Q: Are there bathhouses?
A: Yes there are two bathhouses, one on each side of the camp. There are flushing toilets and showers. Interior newly renovated in 2022!

Q: May we tent camp?
A: Absolutely! There is a flat field near the river that is available for tent camping. With archery not happening in 2022 there will be more space to put the tents in the sunny area for morning dryness. Please let us know if you are tent camping when you check in so we can point you to the proper field space.

Q: May I set up a merchant space at RMMH?
A: Yes but please check with the autocrat for specifics. Keep in mind the event is capped at 80 people so it is up to you if that makes sense for you.

Q: What should I do for lunch?
A: Lunch is included as part of the site fee. We will provide feast gear for lunch so that you can save your main feast gear for dinner. Lunch will be buffet style so you won’t go hungry! There will be vegetarian options.

Q: What happens when the event sells out?
A: The registration lead will create a wait list for both the event and feast. If someone cancels she will contact the next person on the list regarding the spot.
